Cleveland "Cleve" Francis Jr. M.A. '69, a celebrated cardiologist and accomplished musician, spoke to hundreds of new transfer, graduate and first-year students gathered in the Wren Yard for the 2024 Opening Convocation ceremony. The event coincides with the first day of undergraduate classes and serves as the official kickoff to the academic year.
