Awards and Recognition
Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle M.A. ’04 has joined the board of the Museum of the Cherokee Indian, elected by a unanimous vote by the Easter Band of the Cherokee Indians (EBCI) Tribal Council.
Haley Gorman ’21, now a student at the University of Virginia School of Law, was recognized for having the highest GPA of her class. Gorman won the Carl M. Franklin Prize for earning the highest GPA after two semesters and will receive a cash prize as well as her name engraved on plaques at the law school.
Job Changes and Promotions
James Emanuel ’08 will be one of two new partners at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s St. Louis office as of Jan. 1, 2023. He has a national practice focused on complex products liability, mass tort and commercial litigation matters. He regularly defends major pharmaceutical, biomechanical, medical device and consumer products manufacturers in state and federal courts throughout the country in complex, high-stakes litigation. He also has a robust alcoholic beverage practice with experience that spans all tiers of alcohol production for clients in the beer, wine and spirits industries.
April Haynes Salas ’03 was promoted to executive director of the Irving Institute for Energy and Security at Dartmouth College.
Jayson Traxler ’00 has been promoted to president of Stax, a Boston-headquartered global strategy consulting firm. Traxler joined Stax in 2021 as managing director and chief operating officer and he brings more than 20 years of professional experience in strategic finance.
