Commemorating the Legacy Tribute Garden & Hearth: Memorial to the Enslaved
In the shadow of a building where people enslaved by William & Mary once worked and lived, a memorial to those same people will soon be erected so that their stories and their role in the university’s history over the course of 172 years may be brought to light.
From Oct. 7-10, the Sunken Garden will host many of the exciting Homecoming & Reunion Weekend festivities, including an open-air tailgate with local food trucks, the Saturday Night Bash and reunion receptions for this year’s and last year’s reunion classes (those with class years ending in 0, 1, 5 and 6).
